The German Automaker BMW recently released a facelifted model of their BMW 3 Series Coupe.
The 3 Series was always known as a small luxury sedan, but people never really considered the beast within the body. In 2006, the BMW 3 Series released the 335i model which featured a thirsty 225Kw Twin Scroll Turbo 3 Litre engine. When seen in action, you’ll be so thrilled even your 5 year old sister will want one!
There are several upgrades that separate the newly facelifted E92 from its previous versions. The ‘angel eye’ headlights now have a more accented design and are slightly larger, while the lower grille is more appealing and highlights the face of the Coupe.
The sleek interior offers ambient lighting, a state-of-the-art iDrive System, and even a seatbelt delivery mechanism. But the one new item which stands out most is the Gear Knob, giving the cockpit a sportier look.
Accentuating that this is a BMW sports car, the Kidney Grilles are rounder and slightly larger. Another change to the ‘bottom’ of the Coupe is the addition of L.E.D tail lamps, making the car stand out while driving and giving it a more artistic look compared
to standard tail lamps.
This latest Coupe propels itself to 100KM/H in a mere 5.5 seconds - about a second quicker than the soon to be released Audi S5
Coupe and the new Mercedes E Class Coupe.
Also available is the N54B 3.0L Twin Turbo,
a more fuel-efficient Diesel variant, giving the driver slightly more torque to get through those windy mountain roads comfortably.
Compared to the already modernised BMW 3 Series Sedan, the new Coupe remains a totally different car in terms of exterior design, as stated by BMW when they released the original Coupe back in 2006.
Although BMW revealed the improved Coupe a month ago, we may not expect to see this vehicle on our roads until mid 2010.
